Vocal Overdose (CZ)
Vocal Overdose – The Original Barbershop Quartet
As one of the few quartets in the Czech Republic, they decided to go the way of the barbershop style that has not been explored so far. This style is almost unknown phenomenon in the Czech and Slovak regions among ordinary listeners as well as in professional singing circles. Vocal Overdose is successful with its performances. The biggest is the victory in the category of singing groups at the festival Jirkovský Písňovar in 2018. This competition proved the quartet that it is the right way of making music. The repertoire of Vocal Overdose does not contain songs from the Renaissance, Baroque or Romantic period. Voce Magna Festival welcomes them as guests. Their focus, composition and interpretation will contribute to diversity of the festival program. They can be seen as an inspiration for the establishment of a barbershop quartet or choir.
